LABORATORY TESTING
Alaska Testlab has several laboratories within Alaska as well as mobile labs that can be placed directly on project sites. Our main testing facility is in Anchorage at 4040 B Street, Suite 102. AASHTO accredited and USACE validated, our laboratory performs more than 200 tests in soils, aggregates, rock, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
We perform tests in accordance with a variety of standards: ASTM, Alaska Test Methods, WAQTC, Corps of Engineers, and more. We have a Corps of Engineers validate laboratory in Fairbanks and a seasonal laboratory in Kodiak. All of our laboratories, to include mobile labs are set up, maintained and operated to AASHTO standards. A listing of our more common tests is below. Our personnel are trained to national standards for field testing including ACI, WAQTC, and Troxler Safety.
Our laboratory facilities are accredited by the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
Our procedures are governed by our in house Quality System Manual, which meets the stringent requirement of the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL), and AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL).
